Animals
Now one of the most popular jobs on the farm is feeding time with the animals. I feed the animals at 9'0clock every morning and it usually takes approximately ¾ hr (this can give parents the opportunity to get organised for the day ahead with some peace and quiet). Children just love to stroke, care and feed the pets with that hands on experience which leaves them with fond and lasting memories. Parents and Grandparents are also very welcome to come up and help. Any food scraps can be fed to the animals so come and meet the family:-
Snickers our beautiful and soft bunny that loves to be stroked.
Harry our guinea pig that's cute and loves a cuddle.
Gilbert our Vietnamese pot bellied pig; he is ugly, but he is friendly and loves plenty of company.
Gretel our angora goat; she loves to feed out of your hand and is very gentle and likes to be made a fuss of.
Ant & Dec our two adorable pygmy goats; they are cheeky and cute and will nibble at anything.
Jake & Milo our two ponies; Jake is a beautiful chestnut Shetland pony and Milo is the dominant roan gelding. Both love to be fed carrots and apples. Neither have been broken in but will be led around the field. (This is at your own risk as ponies will kick)
Daphne & Velma our two mother pigs who have a brood of piglets once a year. They will eat any scraps and the piglets are absolutely cute and gorgeous.
We have 5 Shetland sheep, Fluff, Cilla, Penny, Buttercup and Kate who are friendly, eat out of your hand, and they lamb in the Spring.
Ramsley the Ram, with his curly horns, protects his harem.
Of course, we have the chickens to feed and the eggs to collect and hopefully the eggs are not cracked before they get in!!! It has been known.
